7 January: It is now clear that users of polyvore.com's "snip" tool are occasionally grabbing photos from Flickr Hivemind and uploading them to polyvore. Specifically, they seem to be highly interested in blythe dolls and their fashion accessories. This is a bad thing, at that point they've been copied and do not link back to Flickr. I'm trying to figure out how to deal with it - blocking polyvore.com probably won't work, as the polyvore users are snipping, not polyvore.com itself. If folks have ideas let me know (send email to noshivemind at this domain). If you feel the need to turn off Flickr API tool access to your photos there are instructions at the bottom of every Flickr Hive Mind page - read section (b) carefully, there are two steps involved!
